1. I swear by the Day of Resurrection [1].
[1] The purpose of taking an oath is sometimes to emphasize one's statement. And sometimes an oath is taken as testimony or to further strengthen testimony. And an oath is taken only on something that a person, in any case, considers to be above himself. And since man himself has been created as the noblest of all creatures, therefore, we humans are commanded that if there is a need to take an oath, it should be sworn only by Allah's Being or His Attributes. Swearing by anything other than Allah is shirk and haram. However, Allah, considering anything among His creation as important, may take an oath by it as testimony and as a proof. For example, this very Day of Resurrection, the establishment of which will be one of Allah's most magnificent achievements, and it was something that the disbelievers of Makkah were completely denying. Therefore, to assure these disbelievers, Allah swore by the Day of Resurrection and declared that it will certainly come to pass.
