Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

2. Stand (in prayer) at night, except for a little part [3].

Spiritual Discipline of Night Vigil for Great Responsibilities:

To fulfill these responsibilities, the most important aspect of the required discipline is that instead of sleeping through the night, you should spend most of the night engaged in the worship of Allah. This does not mean that you should sleep very little or not sleep at all. Rather, if even half of the night is spent in worship, that is still considered a significant portion. Then Allah Almighty Himself has clarified this portion, stating that the part of the night you ﷺ should spend in worship should be half the night, or a little less or a little more than half. That is, if the day and night are of equal length, then staying awake for half the night is sufficient; if the nights are short and the days are long, then spend more than half or up to two-thirds of the night in worship; and if the nights are long and the days are short, then spending less than half or up to a third of the night in worship will also suffice.
