Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
At which the sky will be split apart [16]; this is the promise of Allah, which will surely be fulfilled.
[16] In this world too, Allah's punishment will surely come upon you just as it came upon Pharaoh and his people. Even if, hypothetically, punishment does not come in this world, then how can you save yourselves from the punishment of that Day when the sky will be rent asunder, and the system of the universe will be thrown into chaos? The terror and horror of that Day will be such that even before the punishment, children will appear old from fear, and faces will be stricken with panic. People will try to find a place of refuge from these terrifying scenes, but they will not find any. After that, do you have any way to save yourselves from the punishment that is certainly going to befall the disbelievers on that Day?
