Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
5. So (O Prophet!) be patient with gracious patience [4].
[4] The Meaning and Benefit of "Beautiful Patience":
"Beautiful patience" is to endure someone's taunts, mockery, ridicule, and harm with a calm heart. One bears the pain oneself but does not even utter a harsh word against the one causing harm, nor complains or grumbles about them to others. It is an experienced fact that the more bitter and unpleasant beautiful patience is, the sweeter its fruit becomes. This is because Allah Himself is with those who are patient. During the Makkan period, Muslims and the Prophet ﷺ were constantly instructed to observe beautiful patience. The reason was that if the Muslims had resorted to confrontation during that time, even if it was limited to verbal altercations, it could have severely harmed the purpose of the Islamic call. The ultimate goal of Islam was that Allah would make it prevail over all other religions, which was achieved in the short span of twenty-three years. Had the Muslims started confrontation during that period, who knows how much longer it would have taken to achieve this goal.
