Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
21. And when wealth comes to him, he becomes stingy [13].
[13] That is, the general nature of man is such that when he is afflicted with any hardship, falls ill, or faces financial difficulty, instead of enduring that time with patience, he begins to panic and despair. Sometimes he starts blaming fate, and sometimes his own destiny. And when Allah removes his hardship, he still does not thank Allah. Rather, he clings to wealth as if a snake is sitting on a treasure. Then he becomes so obsessed with accumulating more that not only does he refrain from helping any poor or needy person or fulfilling their needs, but he is not even willing to spend on his own family or himself. His only desire is that his wealth continues to increase day by day.
