It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
80. And [remember] when Lot said to his people [85]: "You commit such indecency as no one in all the worlds has ever done before you."
[85] The Center of Preaching of Sayyiduna Lut (Lot) ؑ:
Sayyiduna Lut ؑ was the nephew of Sayyiduna Ibrahim (Abraham) ؑ, the Friend of Allah, and he had believed in him. When Sayyiduna Ibrahim ؑ migrated from Iraq towards Syria and Palestine, Sayyiduna Lut ؑ was with him and continued to perform the duty of assisting in the preaching of the message. Then he too was granted prophethood. Now, Sayyiduna Ibrahim ؑ went towards Egypt, and Sayyiduna Lut ؑ was sent towards the east of Jordan, whose capital city was called Sodom. This was the center of preaching for Sayyiduna Lut ؑ. Today, there is no trace of Sodom to be found anywhere. The prevailing opinion is that this city was submerged in the Dead Sea, which is also called the Sea of Lut. Among the other moral evils of the people of Lut, the greatest evil was that instead of women, they would fulfill their sexual desires with men, in their backsides. This nation was the originator of this obscenity, and in this obscenity, this nation gained everlasting notoriety. So much so that the very name of this obscenity became associated with the people of Lut, and it came to be called "liwatat" (sodomy).
