Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

55. Call upon your Lord [58] humbly and in secret. Surely, He does not like those who exceed limits.

Etiquettes of Supplication:

In the same way, you should present your needs before Allah, the Creator, Owner, and Blessed of all things. Seek help only from Him and worship only Him. Supplicate with humility and submissiveness, sincerely from the heart and within the heart, and do not let ostentation enter into your supplication. Do not exceed the limits of etiquette in supplication, for example, do not ask for things that are habitually or religiously impossible, or for sins, or the supplicant begins to ask for frivolous things, or makes such a request that does not befit the status and position of the supplicant. For example, if someone prays to become a king without any effort, such supplication also falls under exceeding the limits.
