Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

51. Those who took their religion as amusement and play, and the worldly life deceived them. So today We will forget them as they forgot the meeting of this Day [50], and as they used to reject Our signs.

Those Who Consider Play and Amusement as Their Religion:

The life of a person who does not believe in the Hereafter and accountability before Allah is entirely different from that of the believers. The ultimate goal of his life becomes nothing but to enjoy as much luxury and pleasure in this world as possible, regardless of whether the wealth comes through lawful or unlawful means. In their eyes, this world is nothing but a place of amusement, where everyone should indulge in luxury and entertainment according to their status and then depart from this world. On the Day of Resurrection, such people will be treated according to their own beliefs. Since they forgot the Hereafter and accountability before Allah, Allah will also forget them in the same way—they will continue to burn in the Fire, remain hungry and thirsty, and will neither receive anything to eat nor to drink, so that they may witness the consequences of the indulgences they enjoyed in the world.
