سُوْرَةُ الْاَعْرَافِ
Surah Al-A'raaf (7) — Ayah 30
فَرِيقًا هَدَىٰ وَفَرِيقًا حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلضَّلَـٰلَةُ ۗ إِنَّهُمُ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينَ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ ﴿30﴾

A group He has guided, and a group deserved to be in error; (because) surely they took the Shayâtîn (devils) as Auliyâ’ (protectors and helpers) instead of Allâh, and think that they are guided.

A group He guided, while another group deserved [28] misguidance, for they took devils as their patrons instead of Allah, yet they think they are rightly guided.

Satan Presenting Evil Deeds as Good:
There are two types of characters: those who follow the path of Satan, and those who follow the path of our master Adam ؑ. It should be clear that no person is ever willing to accept that he is following the path of Satan; rather, upon hearing the name of Satan, he will even curse him a few times. Nor has Satan ever revealed himself when leading a person astray; his work is simply to present an evil way in a beautiful manner and to show alluring dreams, just as he showed to our father, our master Adam ؑ. In this, whether he gives hope of some religious benefit or some worldly gain, in this way a person falls into his trap. And whoever deviates even slightly from the straight path of Allah should understand that he has fallen into Satan’s deception, because apart from this path, all other paths are satanic. And since Satan also suggests only seemingly good things, therefore, his followers also believe that they are doing good deeds, whereas all of these are satanic tricks.
