Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): My Lord has commanded justice and (said) that you should face Him only (i.e. worship none but Allâh and face the Qiblah, i.e. the Ka‘bah at Makkah during prayers) in every place of worship, in prayers (and not to face other false deities and idols), and invoke Him only making your religion sincere to Him (by not joining in worship any partner with Him and with the intention that you are doing your deeds for Allâh’s sake only). As He brought you (into being) in the beginning, so shall you be brought into being [on the Day of Resurrection in two groups, one as a blessed one (believers), and the other as a wretched one (disbelievers)].

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

Say, "My Lord has commanded justice, and that you set your faces straight towards Him at every place of worship, and call upon Him with sincere devotion, acknowledging His complete authority. Just as He originated you, so will you be brought forth again [27]."

[27] The polytheists themselves invented the customs of calling upon their other deities along with Allah during the circumambulation of the Ka'bah and performing the circumambulation naked, and attributed them to Allah. In response, Allah Almighty said that you attribute to Him what He has not commanded, and what He has commanded, you do not do. He has commanded that whatever you say, say it with justice; do not unjustly lay blame on others. Establish your life upon justice and righteousness. Whenever you go to any mosque for worship, your attention should be directed solely to Allah; worship Him alone with sincerity, and do not associate others with Him. And keep in mind that Allah Almighty has full authority to reward or punish you for your deeds. Also, just as you came into the world alone, in exactly the same way, on the Day of Reckoning, you will be presented alone before Allah Almighty; there, you will be questioned about your deeds and will receive reward or punishment accordingly.
