Surah Al-A'raaf (7) — Ayah 184
أَوَلَمْ يَتَفَكَّرُوا۟ ۗ مَا بِصَاحِبِهِم مِّن جِنَّةٍ ۚ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ ﴿184﴾

Do they not reflect? There is no madness in their companion (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم). He is but a plain warner.

Have they never reflected that their companion Muhammad ﷺ is not afflicted with madness? He is only a clear warner [184].
The Difference Between a Madman and a Prophet:
Now, some of the doubts of such people are being answered, for example: The entire life of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is before these Quraysh of Makkah. Before prophethood, the whole nation knew him ﷺ as a person of sound nature and healthy mind, as well as truthful and trustworthy. Then, after prophethood, when he ﷺ conveyed the message of Allah to the people and warned them of the consequences in the Hereafter, they began to call him ﷺ mad and possessed. However, whatever a prophet says, he is the first to act upon it himself, and he affirms his words with his pure character and conduct. Just think! Are these qualities found in any madman? Then on what basis do you call him mad? Is it only because the truths he presents are not being accepted by your temperaments? Whereas, if they had reflected even a little on the system of this universe, they would have realized that everything in the universe bears witness to what their companion is making them understand.
