Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

153. But those who did evil deeds, then repented afterwards and believed—surely, after that, your Lord is certainly Most Forgiving [150], Most Merciful.

[150] After the repentance of the Children of Israel in this manner, now they will not be punished for this crime in the Hereafter. This extremely difficult condition for repentance was imposed on those idolaters among the Children of Israel because they committed this crime after having believed, in the presence of the Prophets (peace be upon them), and despite their forbidding it. Otherwise, in normal circumstances, it is sufficient for idolaters to sincerely repent, and if they do so with a true heart, they should hope from Allah that He will forgive their sin.
