Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

Pharaoh’s Second Trick, Rebuke Upon the Magicians:

Pharaoh’s first strategy for his own protection was to introduce Musa (peace be upon him) and his brother to the public merely as magicians, and for this very reason, he arranged this royal contest after mutual consultation. Then, when he was defeated in this contest, to cover up his humiliation and regret, he adopted a second strategy: he accused the believing magicians of already being involved in this conspiracy, saying that Musa (peace be upon him) is your teacher and you are all his disciples, and together you all want to expel the real inhabitants of this land and seize control of the country. The way you immediately accepted your defeat in this contest shows just that. Therefore, I will give you the punishment you truly deserve for this crime. And this announcement had two objectives attached to it: one, that the common people should not actually begin to consider him Allah’s Messenger, but only a magician; and second, that if anyone else believes in him, he will meet the same fate as has been announced for these magicians.
