Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

7. Allah imposed that wind upon them for seven consecutive nights and eight days. If you had been there, you would have seen them lying fallen, as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees [6].

[6] These people were of strong build, powerful, and tall in stature. When Hud ؑ warned them of Allah's punishment, they said: ﴿مَنْ اَشَدُّ مِنَّا قُوَّةً﴾ (Who is stronger than us?). But when We let loose the wind upon them, they could not withstand it either. The violent and fierce wind knocked them down flat in such a way that, due to their tall stature, as soon as they fell, they were separated from their bodies. And it seemed as if lifeless and hollow trunks of date palms were lying.
