The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
4. Thamud and ‘Ad denied the Striking Calamity (the Resurrection) [2][3].
[2] ﴿قَارِعةٌ﴾﴿قَرَعَ﴾ means to strike one thing against another in such a way that it produces a sound. And ﴿قرع الباب﴾ means he knocked on the door, and ﴿قارِعَةٌ﴾ means "the one that rattles," and according to Ibn al-Faris, ﴿قارِعَةٌ﴾ is anything that descends upon a person with intensity. Also, ﴿قارِعَةٌ﴾ is a descriptive name for the Day of Resurrection, meaning that on that day, the things of the universe will collide with each other, producing various kinds of sounds. [3] That is, the matter of the Resurrection or the Hereafter is not just that if someone believes, let him believe, and if not, let him not believe. When the Resurrection comes, it will become clear whether it comes or not. Rather, its immediate effect is manifested in this world itself. Because the very concept of being accountable to Allah for one's deeds is such an effective means that it can save a person, individuals, and nations from falling into moral decline. Whichever nations denied the Hereafter, their morals deteriorated, and they became involved in oppression and injustice. Eventually, Allah's punishment came and destroyed them.
