Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
35. Shall We treat those who submit (to Allah) like the criminals [17]?
[17] A Common Misconception Among the Prosperous:
The Qurayshi chiefs believed that the comfort and prosperity they enjoyed was proof of the truth of their idolatrous religion. Moreover, it was not just this; they also thought that even if they were resurrected after death and attained another life, Allah would show them kindness there as well. They reasoned that the Lord who is kind to them today, why would He not be kind to them in the life of the Hereafter? In this verse, their very statement is being answered: how irrational is it to think that Allah would treat His obedient servants and His rebels in the same way on the Day of Resurrection?
