Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
Allah has prepared a severe punishment for them. So fear Allah, O people of understanding who have believed. Surely Allah has sent down to you a Reminder [24].
[24] The Various Meanings of "Dhikr":
In verse number 10, "Dhikr" refers to the Noble Quran, and this word has been used in this meaning multiple times in the Quran. For example, Allah says: ﴿اِنَّانَحْنُنَزَّلْنَاالذِّكْرَوَاِنَّالَهٗلَحٰفِظُوْنَ﴾ meaning, "Indeed, We have sent down this Quran, and indeed, We are its Guardian." It should be clear that the literal meaning of "Dhikr" is reminder and admonition. That is, this Quran reminds man of the Covenant of Alast, and also of the teachings of previous messengers. And if "Dhikr" is taken in its broader meaning, it refers to all the revelation that was sent down to you, and which presents the explanation and interpretation of the Quran itself. That is, Allah has not only taken the responsibility of protecting the words of the Quran, but also the responsibility of protecting its correct explanation and interpretation. By this, every false doctrine can be tested.
