سُوْرَةُ التَّغَابُنِ
Surah At-Taghaabun (64) — Ayah 15
إِنَّمَآ أَمْوَٰلُكُمْ وَأَوْلَـٰدُكُمْ فِتْنَةٌ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عِندَهُۥٓ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ ﴿15﴾

Your wealth and your children are only a trial, whereas Allâh! With Him is a great reward (Paradise).

Wealth and Children Are a Test for Every Human Being:
Here, the word "fitnah" is used for trial. Generally, fitnah refers to trials involving things that a person loves and to which his heart is attached, and this trial occurs so gradually that sometimes not only others, but even the person being tested does not realize that he has fallen into a trial. Here, it is stated that some among your wives and children are your enemies. However, wealth and children are such things that, in their entirety, become a cause of trial for all people. And Allah tests through these things in such a way as to see who, by getting entangled in these perishable and fleeting things, forgets the everlasting blessings of the Hereafter, and who uses these very things as a means of storing up reward for himself in the Hereafter and prefers the great reward there over the allurements of this world.
