Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

3. That is because they believed, then disbelieved [4], so their hearts have been sealed, and now they do not understand.

[4] That is, they accepted Islam and also claimed faith. But in their hearts, they remained disbelievers through and through. Their sympathies, whisperings, and confidences all remained attached to the disbelievers, and this habit became so ingrained in them that now they cannot tolerate any good for the Muslims at all. Therefore, Allah set a seal upon their hearts, because Allah does not forcibly or by compulsion bring anyone to the path of guidance. And they are so foolish that they do not even understand whether the actions they are doing will be beneficial for them or, on the contrary, will expose them and become a cause of their humiliation and disgrace.
