Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

7. It is not unlikely that Allah may create affection between you and those with whom you now have enmity [16]. And Allah is Most Powerful, and He is Most Forgiving [17], Most Merciful.

The Glad Tidings of the Faith of the Disbelievers of Makkah Before the Conquest of Makkah:

In this verse, the Muslims were given the glad tidings of the conquest of Makkah even before it happened. And at the beginning, the word ﴿عسيٰ﴾ has been used merely in a royal style of expression. Just as a king might say to his servant, "It may be that you will be promoted," the meaning is actually a definite announcement. Allah Almighty not only gave the news of the conquest of Makkah, but also informed that the disbelievers of Makkah, who are today your staunch enemies, will accept Islam and you will then become united in love and harmony.

[17] That is, Allah has the power to turn the course of events in such a way that Makkah will be conquered, there will be no bloodshed, and the majority of the disbelievers will become Muslims and join you. As for the mistake you made in this matter, Allah, out of His grace, is also Forgiving of this mistake and likewise of your other errors and slips.
