And if you could but see when the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers) are in the agonies of death, while the angels are stretching forth their hands (saying): "Deliver your souls! This day you shall be recompensed with the torment of degradation because of what you used to utter against Allâh other than the truth. And you used to reject His Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) with disrespect!"

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

93. And who can be more unjust than one who fabricates a lie against Allah, or says, "It has been revealed to me," while nothing has been revealed to him, or one who says, "I will send down the like of what Allah has sent down [95]"? If only you could see the wrongdoers when they are in the throes of death and the angels are stretching out their hands, saying, "Deliver your souls! Today you will be awarded the punishment of humiliation for what you used to say against Allah without right [96] and for your arrogance regarding His verses."

[95]
Who is the Greatest Wrongdoer?

In this verse, three types of the greatest wrongdoers have been mentioned. The first is the one who fabricates something himself and attributes it to Allah, claiming that it is Allah’s command. This includes all those people who invent various forms of shirk (polytheism) and innovations, and then try to prove them from the Shariah. In this way, they cloak these customs and innovations with religious sanctity. This also includes those people who derive incorrect meanings from Allah’s verses and make wrong interpretations, issuing erroneous fatwas in exchange for temporary benefits. The second are those false prophets who claimed or will claim prophethood after you, even though you are Khatam an-Nabiyyin (the Seal of the Prophets), such as Musaylimah al-Kadhdhab, Aswad Ansi, Sajah bint Harith, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani, and others like them. And you have said that after me, about thirty such liars and Dajjals will arise who will claim prophethood [مسلم۔ كتاب الفتن۔ باب قوله ان بين يدي الساعة كذابين قريبا من ثلاثين]
And the third are those who claim that they too can produce something like the Quran. As once the disbelievers of Makkah also said: ﴿لَوْ نَشَاۗءُ لَقُلْنَا مِثْلَ هٰذَآ﴾ [18: 31] However, when the Quran challenged them to bring even a single surah like it, they were unable to produce anything similar despite their utmost and collective efforts.

[96] The above-mentioned types of wrongdoers are the greatest wrongdoers in the sense that they have directly accused Allah. Their punishment will also be greater than all other wrongdoers. As soon as death overtakes them, the angels will begin to scold them and will seize their souls with utmost severity and harshness. At that very moment, they will come to know their true worth and safety, and all their boasting will be reduced to nothing. From that very day, they will be subjected to a humiliating punishment.
