Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

80. And Abraham’s people argued with him [83]. He said: "Do you argue with me about Allah, while He has already guided me? I do not fear those whom you associate with Him, unless my Lord wills something. My Lord’s knowledge encompasses everything. Will you not take heed?"

Opposition from the Star-Worshippers:

This belief was ingrained in every fiber of that nation that the planets have effects on human life, both individually and collectively. Then, imaginary statues of the spirits of these planets were installed in temples and worshipped; considering them as owners of benefit and harm, offerings and sacrifices were presented before them in an attempt to please them. Their entire lives, from head to toe, had become attached to this system. In front of them, the expression of disavowal by Sayyiduna Ibrahim ؑ from all these idols and statues, and declaring the entire nation as misguided, was akin to disturbing a hornet’s nest. Therefore, the entire nation began to argue, debate, and oppose him. Sayyiduna Ibrahim ؑ openly told them that of all the deities whom you consider partners in Allah’s authority and control, I am not prepared to accept even a single one of them. I consider only Allah as the owner of my life and death, health and wellness, prosperity and adversity. And I do not consider anyone to be even the slightest partner in His authority.
