Surah Al-An'aam (6) — Ayah 76

فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلَّيْلُ رَءَا كَوْكَبًا ۖ قَالَ هَـٰذَا رَبِّى ۖ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَآ أُحِبُّ ٱلْـَٔافِلِينَ ﴿76﴾
When the night covered him over with darkness he saw a star. He said: "This is my lord." But when it set, he said: "I like not those that set."
فَلَمَّا falammā So when
جَنَّ janna covered
عَلَيْهِ ʿalayhi over him
ٱلَّيْلُ al-laylu the night
رَءَا raā he saw
كَوْكَبًۭا ۖ kawkaban a star
قَالَ qāla He said
هَـٰذَا hādhā This
رَبِّى ۖ rabbī (is) my Lord
فَلَمَّآ falammā But when
أَفَلَ afala it set
قَالَ qāla he said
لَآ Not
أُحِبُّ uḥibbu (do) I like
ٱلْـَٔافِلِينَ l-āfilīna the ones that set
