سُوْرَةُ الْاَنْعَامِ
Surah Al-An'aam (6) — Ayah 63
قُلْ مَن يُنَجِّيكُم مِّن ظُلُمَـٰتِ ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ تَدْعُونَهُۥ تَضَرُّعًا وَخُفْيَةً لَّئِنْ أَنجَىٰنَا مِنْ هَـٰذِهِۦ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلشَّـٰكِرِينَ ﴿63﴾
Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "Who rescues you from the darkness of the land and the sea (dangers like storms), (when) you call upon Him in humility and in secret (saying): If He (Allâh) only saves us from this (danger), we shall truly be grateful."

63. Say, “Who rescues you from the dangers that arise in the darknesses of the land and the sea, (when) you call upon Him humbly and secretly, (saying), ‘If He should save us from this (distress), we will surely be among the grateful [70].’”
[70] That is, whether you are traveling across a sea or are at a place on land, if an incident occurs in which death appears to be staring you in the face, then in such a state of helplessness, sometimes you involuntarily and unconsciously begin to call upon Allah, and at other times you plead to Allah in your heart, supplicating that if Allah saves you from this calamity today, we will surely become obedient to Him. And this is a reality that every person experiences multiple times in their life.
[70] That is, whether you are traveling across a sea or are at a place on land, if an incident occurs in which death appears to be staring you in the face, then in such a state of helplessness, sometimes you involuntarily and unconsciously begin to call upon Allah, and at other times you plead to Allah in your heart, supplicating that if Allah saves you from this calamity today, we will surely become obedient to Him.
