Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "Truly, my Lord has guided me to a Straight Path, a right religion, the religion of Ibrâhîm (Abraham), Hanîfa [i.e. the true Islâmic Monotheism - to believe in One God (Allâh i.e. to worship none but Allâh, Alone)] and he was not of Al-Mushrikûn (See V.2:105)."

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

161. Say: My Lord has guided me to a straight path, an established religion, the way of Ibrahim [184], the upright, and he was not among the polytheists.

[184] Allah Almighty mentioned Sayyiduna Ibrahim ؑ because the Jews, Christians, and the polytheists of Makkah—all three groups—accepted him as their leader, and they also acknowledged that Sayyiduna Ibrahim ؑ worshipped only one Allah with complete sincerity. Even the polytheists of Makkah admitted that Ibrahim ؑ was not an idol-worshipper. Allah Almighty says that My straight path is this, and Sayyiduna Ibrahim ؑ was steadfast upon it. Therefore, do not invent separate beliefs and include them in this religion, and do not form separate sects in this way.
