Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

106. Follow what has been revealed to you from your Lord—there is no deity except Him—and turn away from the polytheists [108].

[108] It has already been mentioned that this Surah was revealed about one year before the Hijrah (except for six verses), and at that time, the Muslims were passing through a period of severe trial. At that time, the command was to keep aloof from the polytheists. But when, after the conquest of Makkah, Islam gained dominance, then this command was no longer in effect; rather, the command was given to fight and struggle against them. And their entry into the Ka'bah was declared forbidden, as the rulings for the polytheists have been stated at the beginning of Surah At-Tawbah.
