It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

1. All praise is due to Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth and made darkness and light. Yet those who disbelieve set up equals to their Lord. [1]

Proofs of Tawheed:

This address is to the polytheists of Makkah who believed that Allah Almighty alone is the Creator and Owner of everything. He alone created this universe, He made the sun and the moon, and He created the night and the day, and He alone rules over the universe. The sun, the moon, and the stars all revolve according to His command, and He Himself created us as well.

The First Proof:

Allah Almighty, addressing them, is saying that the Being who is running the system of such a vast universe with such perfection and excellence—can He not fulfill your needs and solve your problems? Those whom you call upon, like Laat, Uzza, Manaat, and Hubal—do they have any role or influence in this vast universe? Man's duty was to prostrate only before that Creator, and ask only Him for his needs—the One who created him and, by creating the earth, attached all necessities of life to it for him. Then why did you feel the need to worship these goddesses and gods, giving them the right that belongs to Allah, and making them equals to your Lord?
