Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

96. So glorify the name of your Lord, the Most Great [44].

The Virtue and Benefits of Tasbih and Tahmid:

Remaining engaged in tasbih and tahmid is the greatest preparation for the Hereafter. Through this virtuous occupation, one remains detached from the hurtful absurdities of the deniers, their false ideas are refuted, and Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir Juhaniؓ says that when this verse was revealed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded that you should include it in your ruku‘, meaning recite ﴿سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيْمِ﴾, and when "Subh isma rabbika al-a‘la" was revealed, he said, "Include it in your sujud," meaning say ﴿سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الاَعْلٰي﴾. [مسند احمد، ابو داؤد]
It is as if even the smallest components of the method of prayer prescribed by the Prophet ﷺ are derived from the indications of the Noble Quran. Regarding the virtue of tasbih and tahmid, that hadith is extremely comprehensive which Imam Bukhari has recorded at the end of his book, which is as follows: Sayyiduna Abu Hurairahؓ says that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are two phrases which are very beloved to Allah Almighty, light on the tongue but heavy on the scale of deeds, and they are: ﴿سُبْحَان اللّٰهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ سُبْحَان اللّٰهِ الْعَظِيْمِ﴾." [بخاری۔ کتاب التوحید باب قولہ تعالیٰ وَنَضَعُ الْمَوَازِ یْنَ الْقِسْطَ]
