Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
82. And your share in this is only that you deny it [39].
[39] This verse also has several meanings. One is that just as eating food daily is your habit, in the same way, you have made denying the Quran your daily routine. The second is that instead of expressing gratitude for Allah’s blessings, you seek some other explanation and thus deny this blessing of Allah as well. Accordingly, Sayyiduna Aliؓ narrates the tafsir of this verse as a marfu‘ hadith: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: You express gratitude for your sustenance by denying Allah and saying that rain has fallen upon us because of such-and-such constellation or such-and-such star. [ترمذي۔ ابواب التفسير] And this Quran too is a spiritual rain and a great blessing from Allah, and you express gratitude for this blessing by denying it. And the third meaning is that you think that by accepting the Quran, your sustenance will be cut off, your guardianship and custodianship of the Ka‘bah will be taken away, the offerings and dedications will cease, and the honor and prestige you have throughout Arabia because of the Ka‘bah will all come to an end. Therefore, you see the stability of your sustenance and honor in continuing to deny the Quran.
