Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

The Greatest Benefit of Trees: Obtaining Fire:

The third blessing that Allah Almighty has mentioned is that you kindle fire. Kindling fire and benefiting from it is something unique to humans. No other living creature can do this. Animals consume plants and other things in the state in which they emerge from the earth or are available, whereas humans cook all vegetables, grains, and meat, etc., over fire before eating them. Then, from fire itself, humans began to mold various types of metals for their use. Then they made machinery and tools. Although nowadays fire is also obtained from oil, petrol, and gas, etc., until just two centuries ago, the only source of obtaining fire was trees and fuel. Some trees are such that by rubbing them against each other, fire can be produced, and the oil of some trees serves as fuel. All kinds of trees and plants, grass, etc., when dried, become a source for obtaining fire. From trees comes charcoal, and then mineral or stone coal is also formed. In other words, even in today's era, the greatest source for obtaining fire is these trees, etc. And the only One who creates and nurtures trees is Allah Himself. No one else has any role in this process. If humans understand, then indeed the creation of trees is a very great favor of Allah upon them.
