Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
60. We have decreed death among you [28], and We are not to be overcome.
[28] The drop of semen that man emits into the womb of the mother consists of millions of microscopic germs. Out of these, only one germ unites with the female ovum and becomes the cause of the establishment of pregnancy; all the remaining active germs die as soon as they are expelled from the womb. After the establishment of pregnancy, sometimes the woman experiences bleeding and the pregnancy is lost. Sometimes there is a miscarriage, and sometimes the child dies in the womb, or sometimes dies immediately after birth. And those who are born alive, even they have the sword of death hanging over their heads; it is not known at what moment it may sever the vein of life. Some die in childhood, some in youth, some in old age, and some, for years and years, die writhing on the deathbed in old age. In other words, death is an inevitable reality, and its time is also predetermined. It cannot come before its appointed moment, nor can it be delayed. No power in the world can avert death or change its time. Now tell me, regarding your life and your death, do you or anyone else have any authority besides Allah? Yet you still do not understand that Allah, the Lord of all the worlds, does whatever He wills and can do whatever He wants.
