Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

The Meaning of "Hinth Azeem":

Hinth refers to such a sin that is related to breaking a covenant, pledge, or oath. And all such sins are major or grave. Foremost among them is disbelief and polytheism, which is a violation of the covenant of ﴿اَلَسْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ﴾. The second breach of covenant is the rejection of the Prophets, because all the Prophets used to advise their children and their communities that if, after me, a Messenger comes who confirms the previous heavenly books and Prophets and their teachings, then you must believe in him. The third great sin is the denial of the Hereafter, regarding which the disbelievers of Makkah used to swear strong oaths, saying that whoever dies, Allah will never resurrect him. [16: 38]
