Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

78. Blessed is the name of your Lord, full of majesty and honor [47].

[47] The personal name of the Lord is Allah, and Rahman is both a personal and an attributive name. All the other names of Allah are attributive. Among them, Dhul-Jalal wal-Ikram is a very blessed attributive name. That is, Allah Himself is full of greatness and honor, and He is the one who grants honor to others and bestows kindness and favor upon them. As mentioned in these verses regarding His kindness and favor upon the people of Paradise, then when His name itself is so blessed, how blessed must His sacred essence be! And it is mentioned in the hadith that after every prayer, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would first say Allahu Akbar, then say Astaghfirullah three times. After that, he would recite this dhikr: ﴿اللّٰھُمَّ أنْتَ السَّلاَمُ وَمِنْکَ السَّلاَمُ تَبَارَکْتَ یَا ذَالْجَلاَلِ وَالاِکْرَام﴾ [مسلم، کتاب المساجد ومواضع الصلوٰۃ، باب استحباب الذکر بعد الصلوۃ و بیان صفۃ]
