Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
37. And in the scriptures of Abraham, who fulfilled (his obligations) [27].
[27] The Teachings of the Scriptures of Sayyiduna Ibrahim and Musa (peace be upon them):
That is, if there is no certainty or correct knowledge regarding the Hereafter and its reward and punishment, and they are not even prepared to believe in the Prophethood of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, then they keep meeting the People of the Book and consider them to be educated and scholars. Did they not even learn this much from them, that Allah Almighty had revealed what code regarding the reward and punishment of the Hereafter in the scriptures of Sayyiduna Ibrahim ؑ and Sayyiduna Musa ؑ? It should be clear that before the revelation of the Torah, scriptures were also being revealed to Sayyiduna Musa ؑ. Sayyiduna Ibrahim ؑ too was not given any comprehensive book, but only scriptures were revealed to him. The mention of the scriptures revealed to Sayyiduna Ibrahim and Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon them) also comes at the end of Surah Al-A'la. However, these scriptures are not extant in any language today. Only a little information about them is obtained from the Quran itself. However, their subjects have come in the Quran.
