Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will certainly come to pass [6].
[6] Explanation of the Five Oaths:
While swearing by the aforementioned five things or presenting them as testimony, it is stated that the Day of Judgment and its punishment will certainly occur. This means that all five things indicate something important, beneficial, and the perfect power of Allah. Then, from this perfect power, man attains the certainty that Allah Almighty is indeed capable of bringing about the Day of Judgment.
(1) Tur is the place where Sayyiduna Musa ؑ was granted prophethood, and on that very night Allah Almighty decreed that the Children of Israel would be freed from the slavery of the tyrant king Pharaoh. Thus, they attained this freedom and their enemy was drowned.
(2) All the revealed scriptures that were present among the People of the Book contained explicit mention of the certainty of the Hereafter.
(3) The splendor and flourishing of the Ka'bah, its protection from Abraha or the People of the Elephant, the honor and respect of the Quraysh throughout Arabia due to their custodianship of the Ka'bah, and their political superiority—all these things indicate that there is a mighty power behind it.
(4) This lofty roof has been called a protected roof at another place, meaning that in the vast expanse of space, countless meteors are constantly breaking and falling, but Allah Almighty has arranged it so that they are destroyed before reaching the earth, and mankind remains safe from such calamities.
(5) How Allah has restrained and confined this full sea. It was possible that all the water of the sea would be absorbed into the earth, then there would be neither evaporation, nor rain, nor produce. In this way, all living creatures would not only be deprived of food, but even water to drink would not be available. Also, Allah Almighty has restrained the sea from overflowing in rage and flooding the surface of the earth. Presenting all these things as testimony, it is stated that the punishment will certainly occur.
