Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

The Vastness of the Universe:

There are countless things in the universe in which the process of creation and expansion is still ongoing to this day, and will continue in the future as well. First of all, take the example of humans themselves. Their progeny is increasing, their numbers are multiplying, and this is the masterpiece of the universe. Then, the produce of the earth is also being increased by Allah Almighty in proportion. In this verse, the sky is especially mentioned. The creation of the sky is also of the same nature. Here, by "sky" is not meant the first sky or any particular sky, but rather by "samaa" is meant the vast expanse of space. Similarly, in this verse: ﴿ثُمَّ اسْتَوٰٓي اِلَي السَّمَاۗءِ فَسَوّٰيهُنَّ سَبْعَ سَمٰوٰتٍ﴾ [29:2], by "samaa" is also meant the vast expanse of space, in which countless star clusters and galaxies are astonishing astronomers and constantly challenging their knowledge. What is even more astonishing is that as astronomers invent more powerful and modern telescopes, it is being revealed that the universe is expanding even more at every moment. The distances between planets are also increasing, and new celestial bodies are being observed.
