سُوْرَةُ الذَّارِياتِ
Surah Adh-Dhaariyat (51) — Ayah 28
فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً ۖ قَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفْ ۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَـٰمٍ عَلِيمٍ ﴿28﴾

Then he conceived fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of a son having knowledge (about Allâh and His religion of True Monotheism).

Then he felt some fear [22] in his heart regarding them. They said, "Do not be afraid." And they gave him glad tidings of a knowledgeable boy.
[22] There could be two reasons for the fear of Sayyiduna Ibrahim ؑ. One is that, according to tribal custom in Arabia, if a guest does not eat food, it is considered that he has come with bad intentions. The second reason is that it is quite possible that by the guests not eating, Sayyiduna Ibrahim ؑ realized that they were not humans but angels. The reason for fear in this situation was that angels do not come in human form except under extraordinary circumstances, so he feared that perhaps some dreadful matter was at hand.
