Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

9. Allah has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds that for them there is forgiveness [31.1] and a great reward.

In [31۔ 1], Allah Almighty has mentioned two types of deeds in this verse: one is faith, and the other is righteous deeds. Likewise, two types of promises have been made: one of forgiveness and the other of a great reward. Apparently, this indicates that those who believed in Allah and never associated anyone with Him will also be forgiven. As for the great reward, it will be given only to those who, along with faith, also continued to perform righteous deeds.
