When they come to you, they say: "We believe." But in fact they enter with (an intention of) disbelief and they go out with the same. And Allâh knows all what they were hiding.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

61. And when they come to you, they say, "We believe," but in fact they entered with disbelief and they left with it [103]. And Allah knows well what they conceal.

[103] Some among the Jews would come to your ﷺ gathering, and after listening to the admonition and advice, they would hypocritically agree and claim to have embraced Islam, even though this too was done only to deceive and trick the Muslims. Faith did not enter their hearts even for a moment; just as they came concealing disbelief in their hearts, so too did they depart carrying disbelief with them. And Allah Almighty would inform the Muslims of every one of their schemes.
