Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

50. Do they seek the judgment of ignorance [92]? But who is better than Allah in judgment for a people who are certain in faith?

The Comparison Between Islam and Jahiliyyah:

The word "Jahiliyyah" is used in contrast to Islam. Islam is complete light, whereas Jahiliyyah is nothing but darkness upon darkness. Islam is such a light and such knowledge that it guides in every aspect of worldly life and also shows the paths of salvation in the Hereafter, whereas Jahiliyyah keeps a person bewildered and distressed even in this world and will subject him to painful punishment in the Hereafter. The era before Islam is called the Age of Ignorance (Jahiliyyah), and this term applies to all those customs and traditions due to which no person's life, wealth, or honor was safe. Every person was an enemy of the other and thirsty for blood. Disbelief and polytheism were widespread. Human life had become so miserable that every intelligent person was seeking a way out, but could not find one. And by the judgment of the Age of Ignorance is meant every decision that is based on injustice. The term "Age of Ignorance" can also be applied to the present era. Today's so-called enlightenment closely resembles that old Age of Ignorance; the kind of immorality, wickedness, and shamelessness that existed in that era is also found today.
