وَبَدَا لَهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتُ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ ﴿33﴾
And the evil of what they did will appear to them, and that which they used to mock at will completely encircle them.
وَبَدَا wabadā And (will) appear

33. Then the evil of what they did will become evident to them [46], and that which they used to ridicule will surround them.

[46] That is, the things which they considered as the standard of success in the world, and for which they went through so much trouble in pursuit of worldly success—the consequences of all such deeds will not only be brought before them, but will also cling to their necks. At that time, they will realize that considering themselves as unaccountable before Allah was such a fundamental mistake that it rendered their entire life's achievements worthless.
