Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

9. Yet they are in doubt [7] about it, playing around.

[7] There are two aspects to this doubt. One is that they are also doubtful about the very premise of this matter. Merely in imitation of their forefathers, they say that Allah Almighty created the heavens and the earth. They are not fully convinced of this either. Therefore, the result of this premise is also doubtful in their eyes, and they consider all these matters to be nothing but play and amusement. The second meaning is that, even though they loudly claim that there is no such thing as the Day of Judgment and the Hereafter, and that we will not be resurrected after death, yet in their hearts this doubt remains that if the belief in the Day of Judgment turns out to be true, then they will be doomed. Thus, they are caught in doubt and suspicion from both sides. They are not certain about anything. And those who make statements and mock about the Day of Judgment do all this merely as a pastime and amusement.
