Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

This will be a bounty [38] from your Lord. That is the supreme success.

Entry into Paradise is Only by Allah’s Grace and Its Reason:

That is, the real success is that a person is saved from the torment of Hell, and if Allah the Exalted, after saving from the torment of Hell, also admits one into Paradise, then this is a special grace of Allah. Thus, Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah ؓ says that I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “No one will enter Paradise because of his deeds.” The people asked: “O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, not even you because of your deeds?” He ﷺ said: “Yes! Not even I will enter Paradise because of my deeds, unless Allah the Exalted covers me with His grace and mercy.” [بخاري۔ كتاب المرضيٰ۔ باب تمني المريض الموت]
The scholars say that the reason for this is that no matter how much a person worships and obeys Allah the Exalted, he cannot even repay the favors of Allah the Exalted. Let alone that Paradise should also be granted to him. And if someone is admitted into Paradise, then it is purely His grace. Also, it is mentioned in the hadith that the believer is shown his abode in Paradise in the grave, and also in Hell, and it is said: If you had not obeyed Allah, this would have been your abode. And the abode in Hell is shown so that until a person sees some hardship in contrast to a blessing of Allah, he cannot truly appreciate Allah’s blessing. A person only realizes the value of his health when he falls ill.
