Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
18. (Who said,) "Hand over to me the servants of Allah [13]. I am a trustworthy messenger to you."
[13] The Demand of Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) from Pharaoh:
There are two meanings of this verse. One is clear from the translation and is mentioned at several places in the Quran: that the first demand of Musa (peace be upon him) from Pharaoh was that "I am the Messenger of Allah, so believe in me." The second demand was that "Set the Children of Israel free from your slavery and let them depart with me." The second meaning is: "O servants of Allah! Give me my due right," meaning accept what I say and believe in me. This is my right over you from Allah. And the following sentence, "I am a trustworthy Messenger for you," is more appropriate to this second meaning.
