سُوْرَةُ الزُّخْرُفِ
Surah Az-Zukhruf (43) — Ayah 39
وَلَن يَنفَعَكُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ إِذ ظَّلَمْتُمْ أَنَّكُمْ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ ﴿39﴾

It will profit you not this Day (O you who turn away from Allâh’s remembrance and His worship) as you did wrong, (and) that you will be sharers (you and your Qarîn ) in the punishment.

39. And (it will be said), "Since you have done wrong, today your conversation will not benefit you at all. You are all partners in the punishment [39]."

That is, what benefit is there today in disavowing this evil companion?
He has already done what he was supposed to do and has brought you to Hell. Today, just as he is a criminal, so are you. Neither will his punishment be lessened, nor will yours. Both of you are equal partners in this punishment. In the world, it is customary that when everyone, big or small, shares in a calamity, it seems somewhat lighter. There is a famous saying: "Mass death is a kind of remedy." But in Hell, even this will not be the case, and the fact that all are sharing in the punishment will not benefit anyone in the least.
