Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
27. "I worship only the One who created me, and He will surely guide me [25]."
[25] The state of Sayyiduna Ibrahimؑ was such that when he saw that his forefathers and his entire people had all turned away from Allah and started worshipping idols, he did not say, "How can I abandon the religion of my ancestors?" Rather, he openly declared that he had intense aversion to the worship of these idols. Along with this, he also presented the argument that he could only worship the One who created him and guides him to the right path, and as for those things that neither had any role in his creation nor could provide guidance, rather they themselves are lifeless creatures and neither hear nor speak—why should he worship such useless things?
