Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

19. And they have made the angels, who are servants of the Most Merciful, females. Were they present at their creation [18]? Their testimony will surely be recorded, and they will be questioned [19].

[18] This sentence has two meanings. One is clear from the translation. The second meaning is: Have they thoroughly seen the physical form of the angels from which they have concluded that angels are not male but female? Whereas the reality is that among angels, there is no concept of masculinity or femininity, nor of procreation or reproduction at all. They are purely Allah’s servants and bound by His command. They cannot do anything of their own will.
[19] That is, even then they do not desist from their stubbornness and insist on their claim that angels are indeed women, Allah’s daughters, and worthy goddesses of worship. So their statement will be recorded, and then they will be questioned on what basis they themselves went astray and led many of the creation astray.
