Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
3. Allah, the Mighty and Wise, has been revealing in the same way to you [1] and to those (messengers) before you.
[1] Answers to Disputed Issues Without Naming Them:
During the Makkan period, the fundamental disputed issues between truth and falsehood were basically two. One was whether the idols of the polytheists have any power or influence in the universe or not? And the second was whether it is correct that after dying, a human being will be resurrected and presented before his Lord for accountability or not? These were the two issues that were constantly discussed in gatherings and private conversations. Then, a third issue would automatically be included: whether Muhammad ﷺ is truly the Messenger of Allah or not? Is what he presents truly the word of Allah? And the style of address of the Quran is such that in most surahs, as a preface, without mentioning the objections of the disbelievers, it opens the surah with the answer to one of these questions. In fact, in the third verse of this surah, a concise answer to all three objections has been presented. That is, whatever is mentioned in this Quran regarding monotheism and the Hereafter is not a new concept, but the same things have been revealed to all previous prophets as well. And the answer to the third question is that this Quran is indeed revealed from Allah. Its verses are full of wisdom because He Himself is Wise. In addition, He is also Dominant and Mighty over all. Despite the opposition of the opponents, He has the power and ability to make His word prevail.
