Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
Or do they envy men (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and his followers) for what Allâh has given them of His Bounty? Then We had already given the family of Ibrâhîm (Abraham) the Book and Al-Hikmah (As-Sunnah - Divine Revelation to those Prophets not written in the form of a book), and conferred upon them a great kingdom.

54. Or do they envy others [85] for what Allah has given them out of His bounty? Indeed, We gave the family of Abraham the Book and wisdom [86], and We gave them a great kingdom.
[85] Here, the other people referred to are the Muslims, who were gaining ascendancy day by day, while they themselves were becoming more and more humiliated. [86] By the progeny of Ibrahim is meant all the prophets from Sayyiduna Ibrahimؑ up to the Messenger of Allahﷺ, and the knowledge and wisdom of the Book of Allah remained with these prophets, along with great kingship. For example, Sayyiduna Yusuf, Sayyiduna Dawud, Sayyiduna Sulaiman, peace be upon them, were all kings as well as prophets. The second meaning of this phrase is that the leadership and authority over all the nations of the world has always remained with the progeny of Ibrahim. Although in your time this authority shifted from the Jews to the Muslims, it still remained within the progeny of Ibrahim. It moved from the descendants of Ishaq to the descendants of Ismail, meaning just as previously Allah Almighty had granted the Children of Israel rule, honor, and leadership of the world, now that same grandeur, honor, and rule would be taken from them and granted to the Muslims.
