Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

44. Have you not considered the case of those who were given a portion of the Book [77], yet they purchase misguidance and wish that you too would stray from the right path?

[77] In one aspect, because the Jewish scholars had lost a portion of the Divine Book, and even what remained, they had altered and distorted through interpretation and manipulation, turning it into something else. All their interests and abilities became confined to outward words, verbal debates, legalistic hair-splitting, and philosophical complexities. However, their hearts and minds were devoid of the Divine intent and the spirit of religiosity, and they wished to entangle the Muslims in such misleading matters as well.
45. Allah knows your enemies well. For your protection and help, Allah alone is sufficient.
